Easy Air Fryer Sausage Rolls

These Air Fryer Sausage Rolls are the ultimate quick snack — golden puff pastry wrapped around juicy, seasoned sausage filling. They’re crisp on the outside, tender inside, and taste like they came straight from a bakery! Perfect for breakfast, parties, or a cozy afternoon bite.

Ingredients

For the rolls:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 8 oz (225 g) sausage meat or pork sausage (remove casing if needed)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine sausage meat, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 2: Shape the Rolls

Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Cut it in half lengthwise to make two long rectangles.
Spoon the sausage mixture down the center of each rectangle, shaping it into a log.
Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.

Step 3: Slice and Brush

Cut each roll into smaller pieces (about 2–3 inches each).
Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.

Step 4: Air Fry

Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Place rolls in a single layer in the basket (don’t overcrowd).
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, add shredded cheddar cheese inside before rolling.
  • You can use chicken or turkey sausage for a lighter version.
  • Freeze unbaked rolls and cook straight from frozen — just add 3–4 extra minutes.

Serving Ideas

Serve warm with:

  • Ketchup or spicy mustard
