What You’ll Need
- Fresh eggs (as many as you like)
 - Water (enough to cover the eggs by 1 inch)
 - Saucepan with lid
 - Bowl of ice water

1️⃣ Bring to a Boil
Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
Once boiling, immediately turn off the heat, cover the pan, and set a timer — your cook time decides everything!
Perfect Timings
| Egg Style | Cook Time | Texture |
|---|---|---|
| Soft-Boiled | 4–5 minutes | Whites set, yolks runny and rich |
| Jammy (Medium) | 6–7 minutes | Creamy, custard-like center — perfect for ramen or toast |
| Hard-Boiled | 9–11 minutes | Fully set yolk, great for salads and deviled eggs |
2️⃣ Cool Immediately
As soon as your timer goes off, transfer eggs to ice water (or very cold water).
Let sit for 5–10 minutes to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.
3️⃣ Peel & Enjoy
Gently tap the shell on the counter, roll it to crack, and peel under running water.
Pro Tips
Older eggs peel easier — use fresher ones for soft-boiled, older for hard-boiled.
Add a teaspoon of vinegar or salt to the boiling water to help prevent cracking.
For meal prep, store peeled hard-boiled eggs in the fridge for up to 5 days.
